Combined Bidet Toilet: WRAS Compliance & Installation Policy

Toilets, bidets, douche sprays, and any WC or Showers with an ascending spray are classified as Fluid Category 5 under UK Water Regulations. This means the bidet function must be protected from the mains water supply.

Our combined bidet toilets achieve full compliance by using a small external Category 5 break tank. This tank provides the required backflow protection and ensures the installation meets all WRAS guidelines. Because every home has a different plumbing layout, the size and placement of the tank may vary; your plumber will advise you on the most suitable option for your property. We do not supply these tanks directly, but they are widely available from plumbers’ merchants, DIY stores, and major department stores.

Any qualified plumber can install the system easily, no specialist equipment, no complex setup. The break tank sits neatly between your water feed and the toilet’s bidet function

With this small tank in place, your combined bidet toilet becomes fully compliant with UK regulations, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of a bidet toilet with complete peace of mind.
